The Party Executive Committee of Đồng Tháp province (Đồng Tháp province Party Committee) is the highest leading organization of Đồng Tháp Party Committee between two terms of the provincial party Congress.

Members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee shall be elected by the Provincial Party Congress and the number of members shall be decided by the Congress.

According to the charter of the Central Party, The standing Committee of Đồng Tháp Provincial Party Committee (The Standing Committee) is the leading organization of the Provincial Party Committee during the inter-provincial conference. Members of the Standing Committee shall be elected by the Provincial Party Committee.

The Standing Committee has task on leading and inspecting the implementation of Resolutions of the Provincial Party's Congress and the Provincial Party Committee; To decide on matters related to undertakings, policies, organizations and officials; decisions on convening and preparing contents of the meetings of the Provincial Party Committee; Report the work done before the meeting of the Provincial Party Committee or as requested by the Provincial Party Committee.

Among the members of the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee shall elect the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and a number of Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee.
